The Adventures of Maximiliana Jones part 2

Max is just loving his legos and especially Indiana Jones Legos. He plays the Wii game too. All day his is singing the theme song by John Williams. Its really funny when he tries to hit the high notes by straining his small vocal cords to a decrescendo. One day he got dressed up and re-enacted the scene Indi gets on the plane and pulls the hat over his eyes. Our Adventure the other day was titled "Patriot Point and the tour of the USS YORKTOWN" quite literally. Haruka typically gives the straight Japanese pose with arms by the side but after coercing her she didn't turn out to be so camera shy after all.

Williams boys are not scared

Haruka and I are planning on going to Seattle to visit my family during the christmas week and then go to japan for new years for her parents. So during the planning phase of our trip Haruka mentions Space A which is for active duty and retired military members to fly on military aircraft(if space is available hense Space A) and there so happens to be a flight out of Seattle Intl airport that goes to japan twice a week. well Haruka wanted all the information flight schedules, baggage requirements and so on. I got all the info for her, and about a week passed and we were really thinking about using Space A. However, Haruka say's to me "Kipp I bought tickets to Japan". at first I was a little disappointed about not going space A and saving money and giving it a try. But then she said," I only bought tickets for me and Max." WHAT!!!!! she continued to say your going Space A, and not only did she leave me there, she said something that I think any of the Williams would get curious over. "Kipp you have to figure out how to get to my house." I immediately took that as a challenge, how could I get there by train oh how delightful... bus? oh even better Im going to bike it! 250 ish miles from Yokota Air Base to the steps of Haruka's parent home in the winter months of japan, cold!!! Oh how she regrets not buying me a ticket, she is worried to a cold chilling death that I will either get arrested for sleeping in odd places or freezing. Haruka's parents are worried too. I am a seasoned veteran of the cold/dusty/rainy/windy/roads of America, not to expand and take my experiences to Japan would hinder such a gift. well I have a budget for gear, I dont have to worry about food cause there are convenient stores that are abundant across Japan, but this is going to be awesome adventure and a challenge. I am giving the rights of my journal and camera to Kevin to author my book if I die.

Hate to see friends leave

Eric finally packed up and left. Haruka, Max and I are really going to miss our special friends we have many many weekends spent together, activities, the beach and so many awesome memories. At least they got Haruka's face on the U-haul to remember her on the trip.

Cairo, Egypt

First off, its a ridiculously populated packed city. Just emagine when going through Japanese city, trash everywhere and buildings look rundown ready to collapse. IF you come here just one thing take a taxi ride. the roads have lines but there is no order, two cars fitting into one lane and the only best thing i could describes is salmon trying to run upstream. The museum was pretty cool, evertything that I learned in college, all the artifacts, art history was almost right in the museum just an overwhelming feeling, I got to see the king tut tomb, boy o boy its good to be the pharaoh just amazing, the quality the detail the pure amount of gold. just from walking in there my pups got tired. well there is so much to talk about but on thing is no mater how hard you try everyone will get the bug.

Rota Spain!!!!!!

Before we could get on the C-17 we had some maintenance delay do to loading, once we finally got bused out to the aircraft we all loaded happy for a straight shot to Spain. well after about 30 minutes in our flight one of the loadmaster noticed that we are missing a piece of the aircraft that is used to jack the C-17 about 20 pounds of metal. We just hope that it didn't it any thing important or someone.....We had to return back to Charleston and another delay of 3 and a half hours later. Well we made it and have enough time to hit the streets and beaches of beautiful Rota Spain. I think 4 days here would be great to bad we only get 14 hours.

Greatest Old Man Ever

Who's father could pick up a bike for a friend found on craigslist across the continent endure 45 minutes of useless ear bleeding from the seller, and can ship it for a nominal fee, ONLY MY DAD! Kevin can't wait to put streamers on the handlebars, attach a basket with a flower and baseball card to the spokes. Now the question is how many times can I get away with it.

Soccer showdown

We invited Tsuyoshi and Masumi and a couple from the Charleston Battery soccer team but unfortunately Spicer injured his foot so he was unable to attend, but his Fiance Tina came along. I gave a personal tour of the C-17 and my work. it was a great night, cooked some burgers on the grill and played a little Wii. we called it a night. it was very nice of them to come over.

Just some pictures of max

note: the ball is bouncing, The very bottom picture was early this summer because his hair is so short. You got to have a good tub pic right?

More and More IOP

So we have been spending almost every weekend at the beach and decided to by some beach gear and found this awesome beach tent that fits perfect with our rocking beach blanket ;). Haruka and I time ourselves to see how can fast we can set it up. our personal best is 8.35 seconds. thats filling sandbags and all. Its pretty much an all day event eat lunch play, have a drink, play, play and play some more until both Max and I get alittle sand rash, shower change and then hang out enjoying ourselves some more.

More Isle of the palms

Haruka hides in the tent like a hermit crab only to come out and tell Max not to wander far from the tent. She get worried that she will get to much sun. She takes naps, (while Max terrorize the beach) reads some books and is our local photographer. she does a great job from "Command Post". I think she just like taking pictures of my rock solid beach body. I am a 10 in South Carolina standards.

Isle of the Palm

So after staying at the beach max picked up a girl with his super modeling moves
